Privacy policy

The short version

This site has no user accounts and stores nothing about you on our servers. The member area unlocks with a license key, using two strictly necessary cookies. Analytics run without cookies.

Purchases

Checkout and payment are handled entirely by Polar (polar.sh), acting as merchant of record. When you buy the kit, Polar processes your payment details, billing address, and email under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver the product and manage your license. We do not see or store your payment card details, and we do not sell or share your email.

Member area and cookies

When you enter your license key on the member area, the key is sent to Polar for validation and activation; our technical logs keep only a truncated form (the last 4 characters), for security. Once validated, two cookies are set:

  • kit_session (12 months) remembers that your license is active, so you aren’t asked for the key on every visit.
  • kit_activation (24 months) records which Polar activation belongs to this browser, so logging back in reuses your seat instead of spending a new one on your license. It is kept even after you log out, precisely for that reason.

Both cookies are strictly necessary to the service: they do no tracking and are shared with no one.

Analytics

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, approximate visitor origin) to understand what works. It is configured without cookies or local storage (in-memory persistence, cleared when the tab closes). No advertising trackers.

Email

If you write to our support address, we keep the correspondence as long as needed to help you. Buying the kit subscribes you only to product-update emails; every email has a working unsubscribe link.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (and, for Switzerland, the nFADP), you can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email us: hello@kit-ia.com. For payment data, contact Polar.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it.
