ChatGPT prompt for repurposing one asset into 3 channels

This is the prompt we use to pull three formats out of a piece that is already written. It turns an article or case study into a LinkedIn post, a tweet thread, and a newsletter blurb, each in your voice and able to stand on its own.

The prompt to copy

Turn this {article/case study} into: (1) a LinkedIn post (150 words, hook first line, no hashtag spam), (2) a 5-tweet thread, (3) a 3-sentence newsletter blurb. Keep our voice; each must stand alone. Source: {paste}

Replace the content type and paste the source. You get three pieces ready to schedule, each sized for its channel.

When to use it

As soon as a piece is published and you want it to live elsewhere without starting over. An article is hours of work: this repurposing pulls three more touchpoints out of it in minutes, instead of letting the content die on a single page.

What you get back

  1. A 150-word LinkedIn post, hook on the first line.
  2. A 5-tweet thread, one idea per tweet.
  3. A 3-sentence newsletter blurb.
  4. Three pieces in your voice, each readable on its own.

Real example: case study → three formats

Input: the Brightside case study (an 8-person brand agency) on the Fernhill Coffee rebuild. Léa pastes the full study; here is its results line:

Results: organic traffic +38% over 3 months. Online sales: [NEED METRIC].

Output, the first line of the LinkedIn post:

LinkedIn post. A craft brand can modernise without losing its soul. See Fernhill Coffee: organic traffic up 38% in the three months after the rebrand.

Notice what the AI did not do: it did not fill the gap on online sales. The case study carried a [NEED METRIC] placeholder, so the post leans only on the number that exists, the traffic figure. No invented sales number padded the hook. The source-held rule carries from one format to the next.

This prompt ships inside the kit, alongside the other 49 in the library and the full Brightside worked examples.

Frequently asked questions

Does this prompt work with Claude or Gemini?
Yes. It relies on no ChatGPT-specific feature: paste it as-is into Claude or Gemini and the behavior is the same.
Can the AI add numbers or examples that are not in the source?
It should not, and the prompt works that way: each piece is built from the source you paste. If a number is not in it, it should not appear in the post. Check this on review; it is the one real risk with repurposing.
Why require that each piece stands alone?
Because a reader will only see one channel. The LinkedIn post, the thread, and the blurb each need to make sense without having read the original article. The prompt demands it to avoid hooks that lean on context the reader does not have.
